Zero hallucinations

Regulatory Intelligence Assistant (RIA)

I conceived, designed and delivered a production RAG assistant addressing a costly, everyday problem for energy suppliers: answer licence-specific questions. This is usually expert-dependent, and error-prone, while generic AI tools hallucinate confidently - unacceptable where a wrong answer carries regulatory and financial risk.

RIA answers questions grounded strictly in Ofgem licence conditions (e.g. "what are our obligations to vulnerable customers?"), cites every claim to source, and refuses when the material doesn't support an answer. It also resolves what a condition required as of any past date and shows change history, directly addressing the trust barrier that blocks enterprise AI adoption.

I owned the strategy and roadmap, enforced a measure-first, regression-gated delivery discipline, and made the safety-versus-cost trade-offs. Outcome: a live, eval-backed product with zero hallucinations across its test suite.

Claude Enterprise

AI Transformation for a Marketing Agency

A marketing agency was paying for Claude Enterprise and using it like a chatbot.

Engaged as an AI consultant, I ran a capability audit of their setup and found the gap: browser-only access, no connectors, no plugins, no Projects, no automation. The tools to transform their operations were already included in their subscription - they just hadn't been configured.

I designed and delivered a full AI implementation: an executive strategy deck making the case for change to the business owners, and a 24-setting enterprise user manual taking every employee from zero to operational. The build included Anthropic's Marketing Plugin - covering client campaigns, SEO, content, and reporting - and the Small Business Plugin, automating agency operations through commands including /monday-brief, /plan-payroll, /close-month, and /run-campaign. Connector integrations were scoped and identified across HubSpot, Ahrefs, Canva, QuickBooks, PayPal, and DocuSign.

The recommendations were implemented in full. The agency now runs client delivery and its own business operations through Claude - with recurring financial reporting, pipeline tracking, and campaign execution automated end-to-end.

Energy Bills Support Scheme (EBSS)

I designed and project managed the development and execution of the British Gas solution to provide the Government-mandated EBSS project - paying qualifying customers £400 over 6 months in response to the 2022 energy crisis. The system paid out £2 billion over 6 months and successfully passed government audit on completion.

SAP Migration

I designed the SAP Migration Tool and project managed the SAP migration - a team of 12 people - which over a period of 3 years successfully migrated over 7 million energy customers from SAP to British Gas's new cloud-based billing system.

Weeks to same-day

Automated Pricing & Ofgem RMR

I conceived, designed and built an automated product build-and-change tool that cut price-change and new-product time-to-market from weeks to same-day, directly accelerating British Gas's commercial agility. The tool re-prices existing products or builds new ones from scratch, then tests and verifies the results automatically.

I also designed and co-built British Gas's solution for Ofgem's 2013 Retail Market Review (RMR) - sweeping changes to product structure, sales requirements, and the obligation on suppliers to show customers their cheapest available option, with custom quotes across every product. It generated customer-specific quote letters at each price change and at product end, sending up to 5 million letters for a single major event.
